A ten- minute walk from Tivoli Gardens leads to the National Museum (Nationalmuseet), which researchers/digs into Danish history and culture. The museum displays an impressive collection ofDanish artifacts, including a 2,000-year-old sun (two-wheeled, horse-drawn vehicle), Danish porcelain and silver, and Romanesque and Gothic church trimmings. Other collections highlight clothing from the 18th and 19th centuries as well as old (thing) furniture. Add to/addition this trip back through Danish history is an excellent (having to do with writing about people)exhibition with items from Greenland, Asia, and Africa among others. At the Children’s Museum, kids can dress up in period costume, climb (on a train, plane, etc.) a Viking ship, and visit a 1920s-style classroom.
