Dubai museum was built in 1787 and is the oldest existing building in Dubai.
Lied down snugly in the Al – Fahidi Fort, this beautiful museum of Dubai was built in 1787 in orderto defend Dubai Creek. Restored in year 1971 by the ruler of Dubai and then a lot (re-did/made new again) in 1995, today this beautiful (related to the beautiful design and construction of buildings, etc.) houses cityÃs history and many important event of the past. While the main aimof the museum is to present the usual way of life in the (land controlled by an independent ruler)of Dubai, it also (place to display things to people) fascinating old maps of the Emirates andDubai explaining the giant (act of something getting bigger, wider, etc.) of the area after the oilboom. As one enters the museum, the shows change/differ from many traditional boats and apalm – leaf house to Emirati wind – tower. Different galleries in the complex puts on display thegeneral culture of the land mainly focusing on the 1800s. Emirati musical (devices that make music), huge amount of interesting (old) objects swapped/switched from African and Asiancountries and the 3,000 – 4,000 year old (places where bodies are buried) at Al Qusais (related to studying people who lived a very long time ago) site will confuse/block you with its past.
