The one site that any history buff cannot miss in Hong Kong, the Museum of History has some long/big collections providing a great understanding of the past of the city. The museum’s “TheHong Kong Story” exhibition uses items spread across 8 galleries to show the history and development of the city from pre-historic years to the end of the of the 20th century, (taking control of) the daily lives of the people through artefacts like pottery, utensils, furniture, boats, and copies of villages and houses. The representations and shows are so real you’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time! The last two galleries of the museum take you through the times of the Japanese occupation of the WW II, and then Hong Kong’s return to a modern big city through(things that remind you of something about the past), photographs and films.
